The Jim Kweskin Jug Band was the first of the jug bands formed in the 60s folk revival and it gained the most widespread popularity. Before disbanding in 1968, the Jug Band shared billing in the psychedelic ballrooms of San Francisco with Big Brother and the Holding Company, and the Doors.
